The Cost of the Proposed Gladstone School Bond

Costs & Oversight

The Gladstone School District estimates that the proposed $55.3 million bond, if passed, would reduce the existing tax rate property owners in the district are currently paying by $1.45 per $1,000 of assessed value. The average homeowner in the district would save an estimated $438 per year if the measure passes.

Matching Funds Grant

If the measure passes, the district would receive a one-time $10.2 million matching funds grant from the State of Oregon

Bond Oversight

General obligation bond funds, and all district finances and expenditures, are subject to accountability measures including regular audits and School Board and citizen Budget Committee oversight to ensure funds are used as intended.

What would happen if the measure does not pass?

The projects outlined on this website would not be completed and the current tax rate would expire.
